Sous Chef The George Albert Hotel is a modern, independent Hotel located between Dorchester and Yeovil in the stunning rolling hills of South Dorset. We are now seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join the kitchen team. We pride ourselves on using fresh, locally farmed and sourced ingredients to create wholesome and innovative menus, expressing culinary creativity. Working closely with our Head Chef, we are seeking an individual with a solid background gained in Rosetted properties, with a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences for our guests. We are a multi-faceted operation, creating a la carte food for our Restaurant and Bar, as well as large number banqueting. The successful candidate will: Ensure every dish meets our high standards for taste, presentation, and consistency. Confident in kitchen operations, including inventory management, cost control, and adherence to health and safety and food safety regulations Working closely with other departments to cultivate a positive, enjoyable and motivated work environment, ensuring all team members perform to their best abilities. We offer free on-site parking, a friendly and professional working environment. Note : Your own transport to travel to our rural location at Wardon Hill (DT2 9PW) is essential as there is no public transport available. Staff accommodation may be available for a suitable candidate.
