Youll assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, contribute to creative menu development, supervise junior staff, and help maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation. In addition, you'll support our off-site catering team for prestigious sporting eventsadding a dynamic, high-end element to your role. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the kitchen when head chef is at outside catering events, ensuring consistent, high-quality dish preparation Assist with menu planning, sourcing seasonal/local ingredients, and introducing fresh ideas Supervise and support junior kitchen team members Help execute timely, coordinated kitchen services, even during busy events Participate in al fresco and external catering for upscale sporting events and private functions Skills & Experience Proven background (3+ years) in a similar role within a high-volume or small plates and fresh cooking environment Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities Excellent culinary flair with a focus on presentation and detail Efficient, organised, resilient under pressure Outstanding food hygiene and safety awareness (HACCP knowledge preferred) Flexibility to occasionally work evenings, weekends, and off-site for events What We Offer Competitive salary of £35,000 per annum Opportunities to develop outside-catering experience at high-end sports events Staff meals Supportive career progression in a lively, community-driven restaurant
