Be the Head Chefs right hand in one of Londons liveliest Italian restaurants
Sergios is looking for a full-time Sous Chef / Number 2 to support our Head Chef and help lead the kitchen in our busy, long-established Italian restaurant in the heart of Fitzrovia (5 minutes from Oxford Circus).
Were a family-run restaurant, packed with regulars, parties, karaoke nights and a buzzing dining room so were looking for someone who thrives in a lively, fast-paced environment and can take charge when the Head Chef is off.
The role Support the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen

Lead service on the pass and take charge of the kitchen in their absence

Cook on pasta / grill sections to a consistently high standard

Help with menu specials, ordering, stock control and GP

Train, motivate and support more junior chefs and KPs

Maintain excellent food safety and hygiene standards at all times

The ideal candidate Strong background in a busy kitchen, ideally with Italian cuisine experience

Confident running a section and comfortable leading a small team

Organised, calm under pressure and proud of consistent standards

Enjoys working with fresh produce delivered daily

High hygiene standards and good understanding of HACCP

Positive can-do attitude and clear communication

Eligible to work in the UK and happy to work full-time with some evenings/weekends

What we offer Competitive salary, depending on experience

Full-time hours with all overtime paid you work it, we pay it

Paid weekly

28 days holiday , including Christmas & New Year off
(we close from 24th December and reopen 2nd January)
