This charming country inn is known for their warm hospitality, locally sourced ingredients, and classic seasonal dishes.
Key responsibilities include:
Support the Head Chef in the daily running of the kitchen
Lead the team in the Head Chef’s absence
Assist with menu planning and seasonal specials
Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation
Ensure compliance with food hygiene and health & safety regulations
Manage stock control, ordering, and minimising waste
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff

The Ideal Candidate
Proven experience in a similar role within a fresh food environment
Strong knowledge of traditional British cuisine (or relevant regional cuisine)
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Good organisational and time-management skills
Food Safety Level 2 (minimum) preferred
