Your Role as Sous Chef When you are on shift, you are responsible for the kitchen. This includes:
Preparing food and ensuring high quality at all times
Making excellent sushi and kushiyaki sticks
Keeping the kitchen clean, organised, and safe
Following food safety and hygiene standards
Helping to control food costs and reduce waste
Supporting and guiding other chefs on shift
Making sure every guest receives a great plate of food, every time
You will work closely with the Head Chef and be an important part of the leadership team.
What You Bring You wil already have:
Experience working in a busy professional kitchen
Good knife skills and sushi-making experience
Enough English to communicate clearly in the kitchen
Strong attention to detail and high standards
Respect for kitchen rules, safety, and cleanliness
A desire to learn and grow as a chef
Respect for traditions, with openness to new ideas
Kindness, teamwork and mutual respect
