Your Job Support the overall kitchen operations of the hotel, ensuring smooth day-to-day running of all food service areas.
Lead by example in delivering high-quality, consistent food standards across all services.
Support and deputise for the Head Chef, taking full responsibility for the kitchen in their absence.
Supervise, motivate and develop the kitchen team, ensuring standards, productivity, and morale are maintained.
Oversee stock control, ordering, and supplier management to ensure efficiency and minimise waste.
Assist in planning rotas in line with business levels, ensuring effective staffing and cost control.
Ensure all food safety, HACCP, and health & safety standards are fully adhered to at all times.
Play a key role in delivering successful meetings, events, and busy service periods.
Support menu development and contribute ideas to continuously improve the food offering.
What You'll Need: Previous experience in a Sous Chef or strong Senior Chef role within a hotel or high-volume environment.
Proven ability to lead and run a kitchen, including managing service independently.
Strong organisational skills, including experience with stock control, ordering, and rota planning.
A hands-on leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Excellent knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and kitchen compliance standards.
A passion for quality, consistency, and delivering a great guest experience.
Ability to work under pressure and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Relevant culinary qualification is desirable but not essential.
