As Sous Chef in this modern dining restaurant, you will be a key leader in a passionate kitchen team, supporting the Head Chef to deliver outstanding food and a memorable guest experience. Working with the very best local and national produce, you will help shape creative menus, maintain excellent standards, and ensure every service runs smoothly. Sous Chef Ideal Profile:
Genuine passion for food, flavour and quality ingredients
Confident running a busy service and leading a section
Strong understanding of kitchen operations, stock control and ordering
Thorough knowledge of food safety and health and safety practices
Calm and focused under pressure with a positive attitude
Natural leader who enjoys training, coaching and supporting junior chefs
Sous Chef Responsibilities:
Support the Head Chef in the smooth day to day running of the kitchen
Lead the brigade in the absence of the Head Chef, ensuring high standards
Contribute to menu development and creation of new, seasonal dishes
Maintain excellent food quality and presentation across all service periods
Oversee stock control, daily ordering and effective use of ingredients
Train, motivate and guide junior team members to develop their skills
