They manufacture precision engineered parts for aerospace customers (mainly precision fabrication and machining) and are looking for a Special Process Engineer to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of NADCAP processes (heat treatment and/or NDT – FPI/DPI/Dye Penetrant)\n \nSpecial Process Engineer\n \nPermanent\n£30,000-£40,000\n07.00-16.00 or 08:00-17:00 Monday to Thursday 07.00-12.00 on Fridays\nDerby\n \nSpecial Process Engineer\n \n\nSupport delivery of our quality, cost, delivery and OPEX targets.\nMaintain and develop a comprehensive and documented Quality Walk the Floor routine to control and improve the performance of the business in line with required targets and standards, the output of which is to feed the DOMs.\nMaintain and audit the Quality Assurance System in line with customer specific requirements, AS9100, ISO14001 & NADCAP - NDT and Heat Treat\nSupport the delivery of NPI\nMaintain & improve a comprehensive internal audit program to control and continually improve the performance of Quality System in line with required targets and standards.\nMaintenance of control plans, Process flow charts PFMEA & PPAP.\nReduce the cost of non-conformance by engaging with the teams & carrying out continuous improvement / lean initiatives.\nReview & disposition of internal scrap - NCR completion\nGeneration, review & closure of supplier/sub-con NCRs.\nImprove investigation, problem-solving and follow-up of Quality Assurance issues to prevent both potential & recurring problems. \nSpecial Process Engineer\nEssential Experience/Skills/Qualifications \n\nGood knowledge of NADCAP processes (heat treatment and/or NDT – FPI/DPI/Dye Penetrant)\nExperience within quality, knowledge and experience with as many of these as possible – NCR’s/non-conformances, PFMEA, PPAP, auditing, root-cause analysis.\nunderstand the processes – how they carry out heat treatment and or NDT (dye/fluorescent pen) – understand material types \nSpecial Process Engineer\nCompany Benefits \n\nEarly Friday Finish\n31 days Annual Leave (inclusive of Bank Holidays)\nParticipation in the Employee Bonus Scheme & Pension Scheme Eligibility (4% employer) \nIf you feel you’re a good fit for this position, please click ‘apply
