We are looking for a Contracts Manager to join our Special Projects team for our Swindon Office. You will be responsible for leading the project team, communicating business and project objectives to all members of the and ensuring company procedures are followed.This contractor specialises in new build and refurbishment projects up to £30m. they work in various sectors such as education, blue light, MOD, commercial and industrial projects. You'll be responsible for:Producing initial contract programme including setting programme targets that are achievable, tracking progress against programme and to take action where necessarySetting high personal safety and environmental standard and ensure company procedures are robustly appliedProviding technical and planning input to support tender submissionsWorking closely with project quantity surveyor to produce procurement schedules linked to the construction programmeEnsuring prompt delivery of O&M manuals in accordance with the contractLooking ahead and planning all aspects of the project, identifying potential challenges and bringing imaginative and cost effective solutionsWhat you will bring:Ability to bring an objective view to situations, bringing parties together to achieve successful outcomesAbility to build strong teams who work together for the common goodAbility to demonstrate strong commercial acumenGreat communication skillsNatural inclination to high level of customer focusAbility to coach and develop team members to a higher level of personal performanceExperience: 3 years of experience as a contracts manager with a similar sized organisation or five years as a project managerDegree or MCIOB or equivalent or trade background with a recognised profession through site managementSMSTS, First Aid at Work, CSCS CardJBRP1_UKTJ
