In this unique role, you will act as a Speech and Language Therapist Teacher, embedding communication strategies directly into the curriculum. Key Responsibilities
Integrated Therapy: Deliver 1:1 and small group therapy sessions that feel like "active learning" rather than "clinical intervention."
Teacher Collaboration: Upskill our teaching staff in "Communication Friendly" classroom strategies and scaffolded language techniques.
Assessment & EHCPs: Conduct formal assessments and contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for our Burnley pupils.
Alternative Provision (AP) Specialist: Adapt your clinical expertise to suit a non-traditional educational setting where building trust is the first step to progress.
What We Are Looking For

Qualifications: Degree in Speech and Language Therapy and HCPC Registration is essential.
Experience: Previous work within a school, PRU, or Alternative Provision (AP) is highly desirable.
Communication Guru: Someone who can "speak the language" of both clinicians and educators.
Burnley Based: A commitment to improving the life chances of young people within the Burnley community.
Why Join Our Burnley AP Team?
The Best of Both Worlds: The stability of a school calendar (Term Time Only) with the professional challenge of a clinical lead role.
Innovative Practice: We give you the autonomy to trial new therapeutic interventions without the red tape of a standard NHS setting.
