Remedy International Medical are working with an established hospital in Bermuda, which is a British Overseas Territory to recruit an experienced Speech Pathologist to join their established team, within a supportive but demanding environment.


Situated in the North Atlantic, with a sub-tropical climate, beautiful beaches and aquarium-like waters, and plenty of sandy coves, if you love the outdoors, this could be the island for you.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Meets productivity standards set by the department for direct patient contact and other related non-patient contact duties
  • Performing an appropriate assessment on all in and/or outpatients following referral; use objective clinical measures to identify problems and formulate treatment plans based on realistic stated goals; carry out specific therapeutic interventions as indicated
  • Supervising and delegates specific written treatment plans to aides, assistants, and/or students
  • Observing and evaluates treatment effect; communicate patient progress or lack of to appropriate staff and physicians
  • Maintaining patient documentation using the appropriate paperwork and systems, ensuring documentation meets current standards and policies; prepares specific clinical reports as requested
  • Keeping accurate, timely statistics of both direct and indirect time spent
  • Promoting the team approach through participation in patient care rounds and discharge planning meetings

 

Qualifications & Registration Required:

  • Masters of Art or Science degree in Communication Disorders/Speech and Language Pathology or equivalent, with certification, if applicable, in jurisdiction of training
  • One to two years post-graduate experience in a Speech Language Pathology environment, preferably within a hospital
  • Local registration to practice with the Council for Allied Health Professions (CAHP) and meet all re-registration requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; liaison with other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
  • Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite

 

The offer

  • Starting Salary$97,073.05 (BP29-31)
  • Subsidised housing for the first 3 months, with travel and relocation allowance, plus an attractive benefits package.
  • 2 year contracts
