We are currently recruiting for a Sports-Based Teaching Assistant to work in a supportive and inclusive primary/secondary school in Hackney / Islington. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for working with young people, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The Role: Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups Working with children with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and behavioural needs Using sport and physical activity as a tool to engage and motivate students Assisting the class teacher with behaviour management and lesson support Promoting positive behaviour, confidence, and emotional regulation Supporting both inside the classroom and during outdoor/PE sessions The Ideal Candidate: Background in sports, coaching, personal training, or fitness Experience working with children or young people (school, coaching, mentoring, etc.) Strong behaviour management and ability to build rapport Energetic, resilient, and confident in managing challenging behaviour Passionate about supporting students with SEN and SEMH needs A team player with a proactive attitude Requirements: xehkeey Minimum 6 months experience working with children or young people Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one) Right to work in the UK Good level of spoken English Why Apply?
