Sports Coach / Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - Tower Hamlets

A supportive and well-established secondary school in Tower Hamlets is looking for a confident and proactive Sports Coach / Teaching Assistant to join their team from April 2026.

This is a full-time, long-term role working with students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, supporting both in the classroom and through structured sports and physical activity sessions.

The Role:

Deliver engaging sports sessions to promote fitness, teamwork, and discipline
Support students in lessons across KS3 and KS4
Work with small groups and on a 1:1 basis
Support students with SEN and behavioural needs (SEMH, ADHD, Autism)
Promote positive behaviour and engagement
Assist teaching staff in maintaining a structured learning environment
Support during break and lunchtime activitiesThe Ideal Candidate:

Experience working with young people (school, coaching, youth work, mentoring)
Confident leading sports or physical activity sessions
Strong behaviour management skills (essential in a secondary setting)
Experience supporting SEN / SEMH students is highly desirable
Calm, resilient, and proactive approach
Passionate about supporting young people's developmentThe School:
