About the role:
In this Sr. Business Development Role, you will be predominantly prospect-focused, owning the outreach & go-to-market strategy execution within your named accounts in the South European region. Operating with a creative and entrepreneurial mindset, you'll drive interactions, build & nurture relationships. Your goal will be to build a solid and sustainable sales pipeline across Blue Yonder’s market-leading portfolio and platform.
To enable your success, you'll work closely with key functions including Marketing, Sales, Alliances, Industry Strategy, and our Solution Advisory practice. What You’ll Do:
- Use prospecting strategies to initiate outreach to prospects and build relationships with key decision-makers at targeted accounts (C-level).
- Collect & analyze potential customers’ critical business needs and challenges, identify and qualify their budget, timelines, business issues, and obstacles for handoff to the appropriate sales individual.
- Determine prospect’s interest and recommend appropriate Blue Yonder products and services.
- Work your assigned territory, covering as many contacts as possible.
- Participate in sales opportunity reviews and collaborate with Account Managers in your territory.
- Achieve quarterly lead generation goals set by sales management.
- Communicate effectively with sales management via in-person meetings, phone, email, and system updates.
- Qualify and validate inbound and outbound leads using independent judgment via phone, web, email, corporate events, and direct mail campaigns.
- Create, analyze, and execute pre-packaged marketing and lead-generation programs.
- Track sales activities and admin tasks in the sales system (call activity, lead qualification, pipelines).
- Overcome objections and communicate BY’s value propositions effectively to decision makers regarding product offerings.
- Participate in developing new marketing techniques and strategies to secure new accounts.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum 3 years of inside sales/telemarketing experience in the software industry.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Business, Commercial, or Technology.
- Personable, outgoing, helpful, and able to initiate engaging conversations.
- Proven track record of exceptional lead generation results.
- Experience working in a team sales environment.
- Able to handle projects independently.
- Knowledge of SFA/CRM/Contact Manager software; Salesforce.com experience is a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and either Spanish or Italian.
- Minimal travel required.
