Join Morrisons Daily as a Convenience Store Manager and run your store like it's your own business! We are looking for a dedicated 'shopkeeper' to lead one of our busy stores. Your mission will be to serve your customers, support your colleagues, and champion your local community, ensuring the store is the best place to work and shop. Responsibilities
Customer & Commercial Performance
Entrepreneurial Spirit: Treat the store as your own business, constantly seeking innovative ways to improve the commercial offering, drive sales, and manage costs effectively. Team Leadership & Development
Cultivating Talent: Oversee all people activities; from recruitment and induction to training and ongoing development. Operational Excellence
Standards & Compliance: Ensure all operational procedures, health and safety, and compliance standards are rigorously met, maintaining an attractive, safe, and efficient shopping environment. Flexibility: As hours are driven by business and customer needs, this role requires flexibility, including early mornings, late nights, and weekend work.
Community Engagement
Local Champion: Build strong, positive relationships within the local community, understanding the vital role your store plays and actively seeking ways to offer support.
Qualifications
Experience in a fast-paced, service-focused environment (retail, convenience, hospitality) – preferred but not essential. People Development: Genuine passion for spotting, coaching, and developing talent within your team, fostering a high-performing and collaborative culture. Inspiration & Influence: Ability to motivate and inspire your team, while also listening and influencing stakeholders to think broadly about new ways of doing things. Hands-On Attitude: Willingness to roll up your sleeves and work alongside your team to support day-to-day store objectives. Resilience: High level of personal resilience and strong problem‑solving skills to navigate challenges effectively.
