As a Store Manager Designate at Vision Express, you’ll join us on a 6‑month training and development programme designed to prepare you for the role of Store Manager. The programme helps participants understand our brand and equips you with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the role. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day operations of the store, managing your colleagues, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining store standards, meeting sales targets, and handling administrative tasks such as scheduling, inventory management, and financial reporting. You’ll also manage recruitment for your store with the support of your peers, Regional Manager, and Store Support Centre colleagues, creating a positive and productive work environment for your team. All employees will be trained and supported in their roles as we together work to help customers ‘See More and Be More’ by providing tailored and effective eyecare solutions. Monitor and analyse sales performance data to identify areas for improvement and encourage this within your team to meet or exceed sales targets. Support your colleagues in store with strong leadership and management skills. Communicate and build rapport effectively, translating professional terminology into language that patients understand. Maintain exceptional attention to detail in customer records, prescriptions, and product recommendations. Collaborate with the entire store team, including Eye Care Professionals, Optical Assistants and Management. Work under pressure and handle challenging situations in a fast‑paced retail environment. Demonstrate confidence, passion, drive and enthusiasm. Take part in the in‑store recruitment process. Conduct training and coaching sessions with colleagues to ensure everyone performs at their best and supports our mission to help customers ‘See More and Be More.’
