Stores Operative (IT / Logistics)

Location: Salisbury (on‑site)
Salary: £up to £36,000
Security Clearance: SC eligibility required

We are recruiting a Stores Operative to support the day‑to‑day operation of a secure IT stores environment. This is a hands‑on logistics role, working on‑site as part of a stores team to ensure IT equipment is received, stored, tracked and dispatched accurately and safely.

You'll play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly by following defined processes, maintaining accurate stock records and ensuring the stores area meets all Health & Safety standards.

Key responsibilities

Carrying out day‑to‑day logistics and stores activities in a safe and professional manner
Receiving, storing, maintaining and dispatching equipment in line with defined processes
Using inventory management systems and documentation to accurately track stock
Managing stock control procedures and maintaining inventory accuracy
Conducting regular stock checks and investigating discrepancies
Ensuring all stores areas remain compliant with Health & Safety regulations
Supporting wider stores operations and working to agreed KPIs and SLAs

Skills and experience required

Previous experience in a Warehouse, Stores or Logistics Operative role
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes
Comfortable using IT systems and documentation as part of daily work
Experience working to KPIs and SLAs
Full Manual UK Driving Licence (essential)
