We’re looking for a highly analytical Strategy & Operations Associate to support the growth of our advertising products across the Checkatrade platform. You’ll play a key role in shaping and scaling the performance of our media solutions - such as Sponsored Listings and digital ad formats - through a combination of data-led insight, operational project delivery, and cross-functional enablement.

Location: Hybrid working applies (4 days per week in the office)

What You’ll Do

• Drive strategic initiatives across the advertising business, from opportunity assessment to execution, helping to identify and unlock areas of growth and efficiency.

• Support improvements to key performance metrics, including advertiser engagement, campaign quality, and conversion outcomes - through deep analysis and stakeholder alignment.

• Redesign and optimize internal processes that support the advertiser journey, from onboarding to activation and retention, working closely with Sales, Product, and Ops teams.

• Lead operational workstreams that improve the advertiser and trades experience - focusing on scaling adoption of media solutions like Sponsored Listings.

• Act as a key partner to commercial and product teams, ensuring operational readiness for new initiatives, and helping coordinate cross-functional execution where needed.

• Translate data into action, using dashboards, insights, and market trends to inform decision-making and shape go-forward strategies.

What You’ll Need

• Experience - 2-3 years in consulting, strategy, business operations, or fast-paced scale-up environments. Exposure to advertising, marketing technology, or digital platforms a plus.

• Strategic thinking - Ability to define problems, structure workstreams, and support long-term business goals through focused operational execution.

• Strong analytical mindset - Skilled at breaking down data, spotting trends, and delivering insight-driven recommendations.

• Operational rigor - Experience improving and scaling business processes across cross-functional teams; bias for building structure in ambiguity.

• Commercial acumen - Comfort navigating trade-offs between business goals and operational constraints; able to connect strategy to tactical execution.

• Cross-functional collaboration - Proven track record of working across teams like Product, Sales, Marketing, and Analytics to deliver shared outcomes.

• Communication & influence - Strong storytelling and stakeholder management skills—able to distill complexity into clear, actionable updates.

• Bias for action - Self-starter with high ownership, comfortable managing projects independently and driving outcomes at pace.
