Location: Kempten, Germany (with travel to race/test events)

Contract Type: Full-time

About the Team

The Lola Yamaha ABT Formula E Team competes in the FIA Formula E World Championship, combining Lola Cars' motorsport heritage, Yamaha’s technology, and ABT Sportsline’s racing expertise.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare race strategies via simulations, analysis, and reporting.
2. Provide live support during races, including plan updates, competitor tracking, and decision-making.
3. Conduct post-event data analysis and prepare review documentation.
4. Develop and maintain internal analysis and decision-support tools.
5. Own and enhance in-event race strategy tools.

Candidate Profile

Must-Have:

• Proficiency in Python
• Experience with version control (preferably Git)
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with car data analysis (MAT ATLAS preferred)
• Knowledge of FIA Sporting Regulations
• Calm, analytical mindset with quick decision-making in high-pressure environments
• At least 1 year of experience in high-level motorsport, ideally in a strategy role

Nice to Have:

• Experience with data science libraries: Pandas, SciPy, Scikit-learn, Matplotlib
• Knowledge of Formula E energy management systems
• Experience with One Timing

Education & Background

• Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical, Motorsport Engineering, or related technical discipline
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proactive, self-driven, and committed to performance improvement
