OverviewThe Strategy Manager is a critical member of the Informa Festivals strategy team, responsible for developing and validating strategic initiatives. The role will develop vertical-level strategic thinking, manage key projects and programmes, and deliver a comprehensive growth agenda that includes market analysis, market penetration, product innovation, geo-expansion, 365-expansion, festivalisation and business development through acquisition and partnership.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver the vertical strategy process, including the development of a five-year ambition, three-year plan and annual budget.Define key growth levers, strategic roadmap, and objectives to drive sustainable growth.Support the brand strategy by identifying key markets, audiences, customers, products, GTM (Go-to-Market) strategies, geographic and 365 (non-event) opportunities.Maintain an external focus on market and competitors to identify industry developments, trends and innovations, and derive implications and recommendations.Conduct in-depth market analysis to inform the vertical's long-term strategy and to identify opportunities for business growth and improvement.Support product innovation, getting new products ideated, validated, planned and launched.Contribute to the division business development agenda, including M&A pipeline development and target evaluation.Assist on live deals, overseeing assessment, strategic thesis formulation, business modeling, due diligence, and combination planning.Deliver divisional Business Intelligence, building capabilities in insights and analytics related to strategy, brand, vertical and divisional performance.Key CapabilitiesCommercial Judgement: Demonstrates significant commercial acumen and applies strategic and commercial judgement whilst maintaining a sense of pace to ensure recommended actions are well-considered, executable, and deliver meaningful results.Relationship building: Excels at partnering with other areas of the business, so they are seen as indispensable thought partners and co-owners of the vertical growth agenda.Disruption and Innovation: Embraces and drives change and encourages innovative thinking and ways of getting things done for the greater good.
