Looking to play a hands-on role in delivering sustainable treatment upgrades and asset resilience schemes?We are seeking a Structural Engineer (or Senior Structural Engineer) to support the design and delivery of wastewater treatment projects across the UK, typically up to £5m in value.The RoleYou will take ownership of structural design packages for treatment-related schemes, working closely with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams. Projects include package treatment plant installations, refurbishment of existing structures and associated civil works.Key ResponsibilitiesLead structural design packages from concept through to detailed designDeliver structural designs for treatment upgrades, refurbishments and new installationsProduce structural calculations, design reports, specifications and construction drawingsApply Eurocodes and UK design standards to water sector projectsCollaborate with contractors to develop practical, buildable solutionsAttend site visits to undertake surveys, assess buildability and respond to construction queriesSupport sustainable, low-carbon design approaches including repurposing existing assetsWork closely with engineers and project managers to ensure safe, timely deliveryAbout YouDegree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)2-5 years' structural design experience (water/wastewater preferred; wider infrastructure considered)Working towards or Chartered (CEng) with ICE or IStructE desirableProficient in TEDDS, Robot, Revit, AutoCAD or similar structural design softwareStrong understanding of Eurocodes and UK standardsPractical, solution-focused approach with good buildability awarenessClear communicator, comfortable engaging with clients and site teamsWorking PatternA mix of office-based design, hybrid working and regular site visits across southern England.
