We are a specialist contractor operating within the structural rehabilitation sector, providing design and delivery of repair and strengthening solutions for existing structures undergoing renovation, change of use, or remediation of construction non-conformities.

We are seeking a Structural Design Engineer to join our growing Repair & Strengthening division, based in our offices in London.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will focus on the design of repair and strengthening solutions and provide technical support across all project stages, including:

•           Enquiry review and scope qualification

•           Structural investigation planning (including NDT support)

•           Development of practical, buildable strengthening strategies

•           Design of repair and strengthening solutions using traditional techniques and modern composite materials such as Fibre Reinforced Polymers and High-Performance-Concrete (HPC)

•           Produce detailed calculations

•           Preparation of drawings and technical documentation

•           Tender and commercial technical input

•           Pre-construction and construction-stage technical support

This role offers exposure to both engineering design and contractor-led project delivery.

What We Are Looking For

Essential

●           Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

●           Must be eligible to work in the UK

●           Strong understanding of structural mechanics and core construction material behaviour.

●           Knowledge of Eurocodes (Particularly Eurocode 2)

●           Design and detailing of reinforced concrete structures.

●           Strong numerical skills and interest in developing Excel-based calculation tools

●           Ability to undertake hand calculations.

●           AutoCAD drafting.

●           Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

●           Fluent in written and spoken English

Desirable:

●           Design and detailing of steel members and steel connections

●           Design and detailing of steel-to-concrete composite structures

●           Design of resin fixed connections and mechanical fastening systems for steel to concrete

●           Experience in refurbishment, repair, and strengthening projects

●           Experience in visual inspections and structural investigations

●           Structural analysis software experience

●           Temporary Works design experience
