With a strong reputation across multiple sectors including residential, commercial, education, mixed-use and retail sectors, in both new build and complex refurbishment, we are recognised for combining technical excellence with proactive sustainable design so that structural solutions prove practical and cost-effective.
We are looking to strengthen our team with experienced Structural Engineers to help deliver complex and impactful projects, particularly within the residential and education sectors.
Role Overview
As a Structural Engineer, you will provide expert technical guidance and design solutions across a range of projects, ensuring client requirements are met from inception through to completion. You will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver practical, cost-effective structural solutions and coordinate design packages across all stages of the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with team leaders to achieve monthly income targets. Support the promotion of the consultancy’s structural engineering services. Design practical and economically viable structural solutions in all common structural materials. Manage project scopes, client briefs, cost planning and deliverables. Monitor project progress, variations and financial performance. Build and maintain strong client and design team relationships. Undertake structural surveys and produce detailed technical reports. Contribute to proposals and support bids for new work.
Essential Experience and Skills
3-5 years’ experience. MEng or BEng degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. Proficient in use of Tekla Design / Structural Designer software packages. Chartered status or working towards chartership. Strong knowledge of building construction, regulations and relevant legislation. Design experience using Eurocodes (concrete, steel, etc.) Experience on projects with values ranging from £250k to £150m. Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
