Structural Engineer – Residential & Commercial | £30,000 – £45,000 | London


We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing structural engineering consultancy based in Hertfordshire. Due to a strong pipeline of work, they are looking to bring on up to three Structural Engineers to join their team.


The Role


You will be working across a varied portfolio of residential and commercial building projects, producing structural designs, calculations, and drawings from concept through to completion. This is a hands-on role where technical ability matters — you will be expected to hit the ground running and contribute from day one.


Responsibilities


  • Structural analysis and design for residential and commercial buildings
  • Producing hand calculations and computer-aided designs
  • Preparing structural drawings and specifications
  • Collaborating with architects, contractors, and clients
  • Contributing to a culture of learning and technical excellence within the team


Requirements


  • Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
  • 2–3 years of post-graduate structural engineering experience
  • Strong foundation in structural principles and hand calculations
  • Experience in residential and/or commercial building structures
  • Proficiency in relevant design software (Eurocodes/UK Building Regs knowledge preferred)
  • Genuine passion for structural engineering
