Structural Packaging / Cardboard Engineer Location: Dartford Salary: £40K - £50K Benefits Job Type: Full-time

A growing and well-established large format print and display production business is looking to recruit an experienced Structural Packaging / Cardboard Engineer to lead the development of its corrugated display and structural packaging capability.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong structural design and cardboard engineering experience who is looking to take the next step in their career and play a key role in building and shaping a new department within the business.

Working closely with design, sales and production teams, you will be responsible for creating innovative corrugated display structures, retail POS units and structural packaging solutions that can be efficiently manufactured using large format print and digital cutting technology.

The Role

Design and engineer corrugated cardboard displays, retail POS units and structural packaging Produce CAD drawings, cutter guides and structural layouts for production Develop innovative concepts that balance strength, efficiency and visual impact Create samples and prototypes for internal development and client presentations Advise on materials, board grades, structural integrity and cost-effective solutions Work closely with production teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and scalable Provide technical support to the sales team during concept development and client discussions Play a key role in developing and growing the company’s structural cardboard capabilityAbout You

Proven experience in structural cardboard / corrugated engineering or POS display design Strong knowledge of CAD packaging software such as ArtiosCAD, Impact, Kasemake or similar Experience working with digital cutting systems (e.g. Zünd) Ability to create prototypes, cutter guides and production-ready files Strong understanding of materials, board grades and structural design principles Commercial awareness and the ability to contribute to new business opportunities Motivated by the opportunity to help build and lead a new departmentWhat’s on Offer
