Job Description
Anomalous Space – Angel, Islington
Salary: starting at £28–33k - depending on experience
Join a Creative Hub with Room to Grow
Anomalous Space is an independent, friendly neighbourhood work space, studio and event venue tucked inside a row of charming Georgian townhouses in Angel, Islington. We host an eclectic mix of activities - from workshops, meetings and focus groups to photoshoots, screenings, wellness sessions, community gatherings and creative events.
Across our six unique, homely spaces, we champion creativity, freedom of expression and positive change. We’re a small team with big ambitions, and we’re looking for someone who sees opportunity everywhere.
About the Role
We’re seeking a proactive, self-starting and strategically minded Operations Manager to take ownership of both the day-to-day running of Anomalous Space & and its long-term growth.
This is a role for someone who loves variety, thrives on responsibility, and wants to make a measurable impact on a growing independent venue. You’ll be the engine that keeps our operations running smoothly and the voice that helps amplify our brand to new audiences.
You’ll manage bookings, client relationships, systems, suppliers and financial targets - while also shaping our marketing strategy, PR initiatives and business development efforts. In a small team, your ideas won’t just be heard - they’ll help shape the future of the business.
Perks include use of the space for personal projects and connection to the wider Anomalous Collective.
Interviews scheduled for mid January.
Mandatory 1-week on-site training before February 2026 start date.
What We’re Looking For:
- Prior experience in venue management or a similar operations-focused role
- A natural organiser who brings clarity, structure and energy with strong time-management
- Someone who enjoys both the creative and logistical sides of running a venue
- A confident communicator with a warm, personable style who builds strong relationships
- A motivated self-starter who thrives in a flexible, small-team environment
- Someone excited by the chance to evolve with a growing business and shape its future
