The Role

Caval Recruitment is seeking an experienced Sub Agent on behalf of a well-established civil engineering contractor. This is a site-based role offering the opportunity to play a key part in the delivery of a major civil engineering project, working closely with the Agent to manage day-to-day site operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Agent in the overall management and delivery of the project
• Manage site teams, subcontractors, and resources to ensure work is delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality
• Monitor and report on progress against the construction programme
• Oversee temporary works, ensuring compliance with design and safety requirements
• Conduct and record toolbox talks, briefings, and site inductions
• Manage work packs, method statements, and risk assessments
• Liaise with clients, designers, and stakeholders as required
• Ensure all works are carried out in line with health, safety, and environmental standards

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Sub Agent within civil engineering
• Strong background in civils disciplines such as structures, earthworks, drainage, or utilities
• Solid understanding of construction programmes and temporary works
• CSCS card (essential); SMSTS (essential)
• First Aid certificate (desirable)
• Full UK driving licence
