Where will you be working?
M Group Highways
At M Group Highways, were supporting the safe transportation and movement of people across the UK.
We dont just build roads and bridges- were building a better future, creating lasting social value that gives back to the communities in which we work.
Youll be joining our Civils projects Team.We deliver specialist civil engineering for the private and public sectors across the UK, building strong relationships based on a collaborative approach.
Role is to join our Civils Projects delivery team in Eastern Region, working in Essex and Suffolk.

What will you be doing?
You'll lead associated site team including, engineering teams and subcontractors to successful completion of works.
We'll ask you to produce short term programmes from the Contract Programme and communicate it with the wider team. Be responsible for recording the asbuilt information and change items. Monitor site activities against target programmes reporting exceptions in outputs, delays etc.
You'll be responsible for ensuring change on site is identified and recorded in line with the NEC contract conditions. Whilst supporting the site engineering teams and provide guidance.
Monitor all works activities to ensure that they meet the Works Specification and are being delivered in a safe manner following the principles of our behavioural based safety initiative, It Starts With Me.
What youll bring
- Do you have a good level of experience in civil engineering and workforce supervision including earthworks; drainage and structures in a highways environment?
- A sound commercial foundation to facilitate cost control
- Effective team management, leadership and influencing skills to get the best from everyone
- Excellent customer skills and the ability to work collaboratively in all situations
- The ability to drive excellent relationships with contacts at all levels including the client, colleagues and members of key stakeholders
- Highly organised and able to prioritise, whilst multi-tasking for many stakeholders, and still remaining focussed on whats most important
