This is an exciting opportunity to be part of delivering a major civil engineering project that will provide essential infrastructure to support future renewable energy developments across Scotland.The successful candidate will be based on our Beauly Reinforcement Project with visits to our office in Inverness/Kilsyth when required.Your teamBAM operates a flexible working policy.Making PossibleAs a Sub Agent, you will be responsible for the following:Set a personal example in health, safety and environmental matters by ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures through method statements, risk assessments and briefingsManage, supervise and mentor section, site and assistant engineers to ensure high levels of engineering control and generation of appropriate recordsMaintain good working relationship with RE staff and supply chainAdopt and promote a cost-conscious attitude through efficient use of company resourcesSupport the agent as required in operating the cost management system, the production of programmes and QF preparationCommunicate with commercial staff to ensure all records for measurement and payment purposes are prepared promptly, in appropriate formAdopt and promote the use of BIM technologies to deliver the requirements of the project BIM Execution Plan (BEP)Communicate with general foreman to ensure adequate work preparation and resources availabilityAssist the agent as required to procure necessary materials, sub-contracts and plant in sufficient timeReview with the agent regularly the performance, development and training needs of subordinate staff, including underperformance or potential resignationsAdvise agent of any potential commercial or contractual liabilitiesWhat do you bring to the role?The following are mandatory requirements:Degree, HND in Engineering or equivalentCSCS Level - Academically or Professionally Qualified Person/Supervisory/ManagerSSSTSSuccessful experience and performance at Section Engineer levelWhats in it for you?Competitive salaryA wide range of family-friendly policiesCompany car/car allowance/travel allowance8 % matched pension contributionsPrivate healthcareLife assurance26 days holiday2 wellbeing days1 volunteering dayPersonal and professional developmentJBRP1_UKTJ
