Key Duties of a Sub Contract Planner:

• Plan and allocate set lanes to hauliers.
• Rate jobs on GTS and ensure haulier costs are correct.
• Advertise work on TWS system.
• Arrange live loads for hauliers.
• Complete jobs on GTS to allow for Stobart invoicing.
• Implement subcontract strategy based on forecasted volumes.
• Manage haulier issues and communicate these to Stobart departments such as CS, central and planning.
• Update hauliers documents to ensure 100% legal compliance.
• Report POD discrepancies and returns that may arise to reduce the companys liability of losses.
• Take on additional work from 3rdparty hauliers to reduce empty running on Stobart Fleet.
• Support Central Team as required.

• Previous experience within a similar role.
• Knowledge of the Logistics and Transport industry.
• Knowledge of GTS is desirable.
• Demonstrable planning and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communicator, with a strong knowledge of Microsoft systems.
• Able to work under pressure and collaborating with a range of departments across the business, from Planning through to Forecasting.
• IT Literate including Microsoft word, excel and outlook.
