Are you an accounting or audit professional looking to develop specialist expertise in US Government compliance within a highly regulated engineering environment? A leading aerospace and advanced manufacturing organisation is seeking a Supplier Compliance Specialist to join its Contracts function in a newly created role.
This position has been established to ensure the organisation meets US Government regulatory requirements relating to supplier cost and pricing. You'll play a key role in conducting financial and compliance audits of suppliers, supporting commercial negotiations, and representing the business during customer and government audits. Full training will be provided to develop knowledge of relevant US Government regulations, including TINA.
This is a hands-on, analytical role offering the opportunity to help shape standard work and processes in a developing compliance capability.
What you'll be doing
• Conducting financial and compliance audits of supplier cost models, including labour rates, overheads, factors, profit levels, and cost allowability.
• Reviewing supplier cost and pricing data to ensure compliance with applicable US Government regulations.
• Producing clear, structured reports with findings and recommendations to support supplier negotiations.
• Supporting supply chain and bid teams with price and cost analysis for customer proposals.
• Maintaining a prioritised queue of supplier audits aligned to proposal timelines and agreed turnaround times.
• Supporting on-site supplier cost audits, challenging rates and factors in line with allowable cost principles.
• Assisting with supplier price negotiations and finalising Records of Negotiation (RoN).
• Supporting requests for DCMA Assist audits where suppliers do not provide full cost or pricing disclosure.
• Representing the organisation during customer, supplier, and government audits.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, report quality, and standard work.
What you'll bring
• Strong finance, accounting, or auditing background with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to analyse complex financial data and make clear, evidence-based recommendations.
• Confidence working independently while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain findings and rationale.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach and willingness to develop specialist regulatory knowledge.
Desirable experience
• Knowledge of US Government regulations, particularly TINA (Truth in Negotiations Act).
• Experience in aerospace, defence, or other highly regulated industries.
• Exposure to supplier cost analysis, pricing audits, or government contracting.
Travel Requirements
Travel to supplier sites will be required to conduct on-site audits. Occasional international travel may be necessary.
