Running the companies purchasing and logistics function and ensuring appropriate stock levels whilst driving cost and process improvements.
To be responsible for overseeing procurement, inventory and logistics to ensure improve efficiency, cost management and maintain a high standard of quality.
Responsible for:
• Managing outbound logistics
• Managing supplier relationships
• Inventory management
Duties:
Controlling outbound shipments to customers ensuring on time delivery at the best price.
• Ensuring stock records are accurate in Sage.
• Arranging and controlling stock counts.
• Ensuring the company maintains the correct levels of stock by using appropriate tools and analysis.
• Work with other departments on demand planning and managing parts obsolescence.
• Maintaining and improving data accuracy in Sage on BOMs and parts management.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Work with the Spares and Service Administrator to ensure best price and on time delivery for purchased products.
• Manage supplier relationships and lead discussions on pricing, payment terms and performance.
• Performing any other duties as required by the Financial Controller
