An established, global manufacturing organisation is seeking a commercially minded Supply Chain Manager to take full ownershipofend‑to‑end supply chain and procurement activities at a key UK site.
This is a visible leadership role with direct responsibility for people, suppliers, contracts, and performance, supporting a regulated, high‑quality manufacturing environment.

Description
As the Supply Chain Manager you will be responsible for:
Line management and development of the Supply Chain team
Lead tendering, evaluation, placement, and management of purchase orders and contracts
Build and maintain strong supplier and stakeholder relationships, including formal supplier reviews
Provide expert guidance on UK import/export compliance and make‑vs‑buy strategies
Own end‑to‑end procurement processes, from planning through to contract award and handover
Introduce innovative and value‑driven commercial and contracting models
Manage procurement risk, performance against procurement plans, and critical supply routes
Drive continuous improvement, cost optimisation, and performance management across the function
Track and report functional KPIs to reduce total cost of acquisition and improve effectiveness
Ensure robust processes for contract governance, documentation, and compliance
Support change initiatives within a regulated manufacturing environment
Profile
Ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Degree qualified (or equivalent experience)
CIPS qualified with a minimum of 5 years' post‑qualification experience
Strong background in supply chain, procurement, and contract management
Solid understanding of UK import/export legislation
Experience working in regulated environments (ISO 13485 / 9001 / 14001 / 45001)
Proven people manager with change management experience
Familiar with Lean systems or Lean administration
Commercial, structured, and confident operating cross‑functionally
