Supply Chain & Quality Manager

Location: Filton (3 days a week onsite hybrid)

Pay Rate: £37.02 per hour (Umbrella) / £27.68 per hour (PAYE)

Contract Duration: Until November 2026

Hours: 35 hours per week (payment capped at 35 hours)

The Role

A leading aerospace organisation is seeking an experienced Supply Chain & Quality Manager (SCQM) to oversee supplier performance, product quality, and delivery assurance across a complex supply chain. This role is customer‑facing and requires excellent communication, supplier management capability, and the ability to work autonomously while driving improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement procurement strategy and support supplier selection, contract discussion and change request evaluation.
• Define and manage supplier surveillance plans, ensuring compliance and convergence to industrial maturity targets.
• Conduct Supplier Control Reviews and assess supplier approval status.
• Monitor delivery performance, manage risks, and ensure issues are escalated and resolved effectively.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions using methodologies such as 8D, 5‑Why and Ishikawa.
• Manage manufacturing non‑conformance, concessions and quality survey reporting.
• Support internal and external audits, including regulatory requirements (e.g., EASA).

Skills & Experience Required

• Strong background in supply chain management; quality experience highly advantageous.
• Confident communicator with strong negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently within a structured quality and supply chain framework.
• Experience with Practical Problem Solving tools (8D, Ishikawa, 5‑Why, PPS).
• Knowledge of APQP, control plans, FMEA, SPC and related quality methodologies.
