We are looking to recruit a Supply Planner on behalf of our client, to join their exisiting team on an 18 month fixed term contract.
The role: This role involves working closely with the Demand Planning, Brand Management, Finance and Warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery of products and optimise inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities:
• Managing the import of products into the UK from around the world via Sea, Air and Road. • Providing customs clearance documentation for imports • Supplier invoice processing and reconciliation. • Supplier OTIF (on time in full) KPI - Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products. • Intake Plan Accuracy - Track orders to ensure product stock levels meet demand while avoiding overstock. • Managing lead times to ensure products arrive on time to meet customer needs – ATP (available to promise) • Continuously monitor and improve the efficiency of the supply chain, reducing bottlenecks and delays. • Identifying opportunities for cost savings through better supplier relationships, logistics optimisation and process improvements. • Communicating with cross-functional teams (Sales, Demand, Brand, Warehouse and Customer Service) • Co-ordinating with Demand Planning to ensure order changes align with inventory needs – OOR (open order reports) • Supporting product launches ensuring that stock is available in time for promotional periods. • Working with suppliers to address any quality or receipt variances.
The requirements: We’re looking for the right person, not just a specific background. Excellent communication skills and proactivity alongside attention to detail are just as important as technical skills and knowledge. You’ll build strong relationships with key stakeholders in the business as well as our suppliers and freight forwarders.
Essential: Experience in Imports & customs clearance requirements. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, as this role requires interaction with multiple teams and external partners. Supplier Performance Management experience. Good working knowledge of demand planning and ERP systems. Problem solving skills to quickly address supply chain disruptions or inventory issues. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Detail orientated and highly organised. Proficient at using IT systems, with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Desirable: Experience with working with a Bonded Warehouse. Good knowledge of Incoterms.
