Hiring: Supply Planner (6-Month Contract)

Location: Stafford, UK

Duration: 6 Months

We are currently seeking an experienced Supply Planner to join our team based in Stafford. This role is critical in delivering achievable production plans that meet customer demand while aligning with contractual, technical, and resource constraints.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend Master Production Schedule (MPS) meetings to develop realistic and achievable production plans.
  • Work closely with Production Team Leaders to revise plans in line with customer requirements.
  • Continuously review and monitor production progress against plan.
  • Escalate risks to customer service and delivery through MPS weekly meetings to the Sales & Operations Planning Manager.
  • Liaise with commercial teams regarding delivery challenges and impacts.
  • Use ERP/MRP systems to manage Availability to Promise (ATP), raise and re-plan production orders, and ensure compliance with procedures.
  • Support item creation activities including routings, forecasting, re-planning, and surplus order removal.
  • Maintain alignment between forecasts and actual orders.
  • Drive best practice, efficiency, and continuous improvement within the planning team.
  • Provide ad hoc support to the line manager as required.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and internal business processes.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in planning within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of ERP / MRP systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office for reporting and analysis.
  • Solid understanding of BOMs, routings, technical equipment, and spares related to production planning.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
