Supply Teacher - Special Educational Needs (SEN)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supply Teacher to work in a specialist primary setting supporting pupils with complex learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Conditions. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Supply Teacher who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs.

As a Supply Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, creating a positive and supportive learning environment, and working closely with Teaching Assistants and other professionals. The role requires flexibility, creativity, and a commitment to inclusive education.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons as a Supply Teacher, ensuring individual learning programmes for each child.
• Promote positive behaviour strategies and manage classroom behaviour effectively as a Supply Teacher.
• Use technology and ICT to enhance teaching and learning as a Supply Teacher.
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and support staff as a Supply Teacher.
• Communicate effectively with parents and external agencies as a Supply Teacher.
• Participate in curriculum development and whole-school initiatives as a Supply Teacher.
• Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times as a Supply Teacher.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential for a Supply Teacher role.
• Experience working with pupils with SEN and complex needs as a Supply Teacher.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills for a successful Supply Teacher.
• Ability to work flexibly and adapt teaching strategies as a Supply Teacher.
