Support Worker Young Mum & Baby (13.5 hours per week, Fridays & Sundays)
Location: Chelmsford
Salary: £12.50 per hour (rising in line with inflation from April 2026)
Hours: 13.5 hours per week split shifts on Fridays and Sundays only Approximate timings: 9am1pm and 4pm7pm
Opportunity to pick up extra hours in other services in the local area if youd like more work
About the role We are looking for a kind, reliable and dog-loving Support Worker to join a lovely young mum and her 18-month-old baby in their own home.
This is a really rewarding community-based support role where youll help a young family thrive. No personal care for the mum is required youll mainly be supporting with the little one and keeping the home running smoothly.
What youll be doing
Helping with the 18-month-old (nappy changes, feeding, playing and general childcare)
Light household chores (tidying, laundry, washing up, etc.)
Spending time with the familys two very friendly dogs (must be a genuine dog lover!)
Being a friendly, positive presence for the mum and baby
What were looking for
A warm, patient and trustworthy person who loves babies and dogs
Experience with young children is helpful but not essential the right attitude is more important
Reliable and flexible with the split-shift pattern
Full UK right to work (we do not offer sponsorship)
You do NOT need to drive full training and support will be provided
