The Treloars supported adult living service is for young disabled adults, aged 18
35, who have the potential to benefit from receiving a longer-term independence skills learning/development package in a safe and supportive environment. It is the aim of the service that, within a maximum of 5 years, each person using the service will have moved on to some form of independent living. If you are motivated by supporting young adults to live independently and make their own choices, you may be well suited to a Support Assistant role within our supported living service in Holybourne. This role is central to helping individuals build confidence, develop everyday living skills and work towards greater independence. You will support people to shape their own lives, develop relationships and take an active role in their community. You will: Support individuals by promoting independence and choice Provide high-quality personal care and day-to-day support Support people to work towards their individual goals Assist with medication and health needs (with full training provided) Support access to the community, appointments, education, work and/or volunteering Build positive and respectful working relationships with the people you support Undertake shift work About you You will be caring, reliable and committed to person-centred support. You will be comfortable working both as part of a team and independently, and open to learning and developing your skills. As well as: A full UK driving licence GCSE (or equivalent) Grade C /level 4 or above in maths and English The ability to work in a team or autonomously Being confident to make important decisions in real time.
