Supporting People on Probation Navigator - Staines

Location: Staines

Salary: £24,000 per annum

Hours : 35 hours per week (flexible / pro-rata considered)

Vacancy Type: Permanent

Closing date: 28 Jan 2026

About The Role

Adults have a proven reoffending rate of 25%. At Forward Trust, we believe another life is possible, and we work every day to make that real.

We support People on Probation in Surrey to complete their probation successfully, stop offending, and build positive, fulfilling lives. Our work focuses on relationships, wellbeing, community connection, and breaking cycles of harm.

We are looking for a Supporting People on Probation Navigator to join our Surrey team, based in Staines with regular travel across the county. This is a highly rewarding, people-focused role where you will walk alongside adult men on probation, delivering 1:1 and group interventions that support lifestyle change, emotional wellbeing, family relationships, and social inclusion.

You'll work closely with Probation Practitioners, prison resettlement teams (HMP Highdown & Coldingley), and local partners to deliver meaningful, enforceable interventions that make every contact count.

A typical day might include delivering a group intervention, meeting someone pre-release from prison, supporting a service user through family breakdown, or helping someone access healthcare for the first time.

About You

You may have experience in probation, prisons, policing, health, education, social care, psychology, counselling, coaching, or bring strong transferable life skills. What matters most is that you:

* Believe anyone can change
* Are passionate about making a difference
* Build strong, trusting relationships
* Are confident working both independently and as part of a team

We're Looking For

* Strong engagement and relationship-building skills
* Experience or transferable skills in assessment, action planning, and delivering 1:1 and group interventions
* Ability to manage risk, safeguard others, and keep accurate records
* Creativity, flexibility, collaboration, and motivation to meet targets
* Willingness to work in person (some evening work required)
* A full UK driving licence is desirable due to travel
