We’re growing our sustainability capability and are looking for a Sustainability Manager who can lead from the front — confidently, competently, and with a sense of humour intact.\n\n What You’ll Be Doing (No Two Days the Same)\n\nYou’ll be trusted with real responsibility and interesting work — not micromanaged or buried under unnecessary process.\n\nYou’ll:\n\n * Lead ESOS compliance projects like a pro — audits, reporting, client advice, the whole package\n\n * Get hands-on with energy audits and turn data into insights clients can actually use\n\n * Act as (or support) an ESOS Lead Assessor (yes, the serious bit)\n\n * Deliver sustainability consultancy services including carbon footprinting and decarbonisation strategies\n\n * Produce Energy & Sustainability Statements that planners and clients don’t secretly dread reading\n\n * Support SECR, ISO 50001, and broader ESG requirements\n\n * Manage projects smoothly, communicate clearly, and produce reports you’re proud to put your name on\n\n * Play an active role in Lucion’s own sustainability and ESG journey — we practise what we preach\n\nIn short: proper sustainability work, delivered properly.\n\n About You (Confident, Curious, Knows Their Stuff)\n\nYou’re comfortable being the person in the room who actually understands ESOS, carbon, and energy — and you can explain it without making eyes glaze over.\n\nYou probably:\n\n * Have solid experience in environmental or sustainability consultancy\n\n * Know ESOS inside out (or close enough that people come to you with questions)\n\n * Understand UK energy and carbon regulations without needing to Google them\n\n * Enjoy analysing data and turning it into clear, sensible recommendations\n\n * Can talk confidently with clients, planners, and colleagues alike\n\n * Have experience developing Net Zero and decarbonisation strategies\n\n * Care about quality, accuracy, and doing things the right way\n\nYou’re professional, switched on, and not afraid to have an opinion — backed up by evidence.\n\n Bonus Points If You Also Have…\n\n(Not essential, but we’ll definitely smile if you do.)\n\n * ESOS Lead Assessor qualification\n\n * Carbon accounting and net zero delivery experience\n\n * BREEAM assessment experience\n\n * Strong LCA skills, ideally using One Click LCA\n\n The Formal Stuff\n\n * Degree in sustainability, energy, environmental science, or similar\n\n * Professional membership (IEMA, EI, or similar) — desirable\n\n The Benefits (Yes, They’re Genuinely Good)\n\nWe don’t just talk about looking after people — we actually do it.
