Job Description:

Mars is seeking a Corporate Sustainability S2P Global Process Lead to serve as the primary connection between the Sustainability team and the Enterprise S/4HANA transformation program, specifically within the Source to Pay (S2P) process area. This hands-on role will embed sustainability into Mars' upstream procurement operations, ensuring that sustainability is considered from supplier engagement to final payment.

This role will lead and prioritize sustainability requirements across sourcing, supplier management, contracting, material compliance, and procurement data, supporting traceability, regulatory compliance, responsible sourcing, and supplier decarbonization. The leader plays a critical role in embedding sustainability into the global S/4 template and data platforms powering analytics, risk management, and supply decisions across Mars.

The Sustainability S2P Global Process Lead will drive sustainability integration across Procurement and Commercial processes, supporting the digital transformation of S/4HANA and core operational workflows, including sourcing, supplier onboarding, contracting, and purchasing, ensuring alignment with Mars' enterprise sustainability objectives.

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, sustainability, data science, or a related discipline (e.g., operations management, environmental engineering, procurement, industrial systems).

• Additional qualifications in enterprise systems (e.g., SAP), sustainability strategy, or digital transformation are a plus.

• Significant prior relevant supply chain experience, with direct exposure and knowledge of SAP.

• Strong knowledge of supply chain management, commercial operations, sourcing, supplier qualification, SAP, and digital analytics platforms.

• Excellent influencing and communication skills; ability to convey complex scientific information and environmental sustainability rationales to diverse audiences. Fluency in English is essential.

• Experience working across complex, global, cross-functional teams with high collaboration and decision-making in a matrix environment.

• Self-directed, hands-on contributor capable of operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

• Ability to work independently, most interactions being remote.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required by project development.

1. Sustainability Requirements Ownership Across Plan to Fulfill (P2F)

• Serve as the single point of contact for sustainability requirements across sourcing, contract management, supplier onboarding, and payment processes.

• Conduct fit-gap assessments of current analytics tools and business systems related to sustainability (e.g., EcoVadis, Arriba, EiQ) and processes covering climate, packaging, and social responsibility areas.

• Understand current and future states of edge applications, assessing their ability to meet evolving regulatory and operational demands.

• Manage a backlog of sustainability requirements aligned with Mars' SiG (Sustainable in a Generation) goals.

2. Embed Sustainability into the Digital Core Template

• Collaborate with system integrators and workstream leads to translate requirements into SAP configuration and process design.

• Engage with Sustainability SMEs across segments to incorporate their insights.

• Influence SAP configuration and standard process design to harmonize global practices.

• Support program milestones (PDDs, UAT, SIT) to ensure sustainability functionalities are adopted and effective.

3. Data Integration for the Sustainability Unified Data Platform

• Support integration of S2P data into the platform, focusing on sustainability metrics and traceability data.

• Work with data teams to enable data flows and ensure data governance and auditability.

4. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

• Align vision for sustainability within the S2P digital leadership team and with enterprise sustainability initiatives.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure end-to-end alignment on sustainability capabilities.
