As part of our growth, we’re seeking a Talent Acquisition Business Partner to lead the recruitment of lecturers, academics, and key educational roles for our Higher Education portfolio with the background, network and understanding of the academic world.
The Opportunity;
This is a high-impact, fast-paced role where you’ll be at the forefront of hiring the academic talent who shape our students’ futures. You’ll work closely with academic leaders, HR colleagues, and the wider GUS Talent team to deliver end-to-end recruitment from briefing to onboarding, ensuring a first-class candidate and stakeholder experience throughout.
You’ll need to be comfortable managing high volumes of roles, thrive in a commercially driven environment, and bring a proactive, solutions-focused approach to every challenge. You have a background in hiring academics, a great understanding of Higher Education and have a strong network of Lecturers to tap into.
Key Responsibilities;
- Manage the full 360 recruitment cycle for lecturer and academic positions, from initial briefing to offer acceptance.
- Partner with hiring managers to shape job briefs, ensuring alignment with curriculum and strategic objectives.
- Drive direct sourcing strategies, using LinkedIn Recruiter and other tools to proactively identify and engage top talent.
- Build strong, influential relationships with stakeholders at all levels, challenging and advising where needed.
- Act as a brand guardian, ensuring all recruitment activity reflects our EVP and delivers a positive, inclusive candidate experience.
- Manage a high-volume requisition load without compromising on quality or speed.
- Track and report recruitment metrics to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For;
- Proven 360 recruitment experience (in-house or agency) with a track record of success hiring Lecturers and academics into Higher Education is ESSENTIAL
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the confidence to advise senior leaders.
- High-volume recruitment expertise and the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Strong direct sourcing skills, particularly via LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Commercially astute, with a focus on driving value and reducing agency spend.
- Passionate about employer branding and delivering an outstanding candidate experience.
- Resilient, proactive, and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.
