Your new company The Role: Hays Client is currently recruiting for a Tax Specialist to join our Group Tax Department based in Greater Belfast. Key responsibilities for the Tax Specialist role include but are not limited to: * Managing the group's UK tax affairs, including corporation tax compliance and monthly VAT returns. * Preparation of IFRS tax accounting schedules. * Supporting cross-border transactions. * Preparation of transfer pricing documentation. * Liaising with and supporting the group's network of UK & overseas finance teams on tax-related matters. * Assisting with merger and acquisition activities as well as group reorganisations. * Continuous development of skills and staying current with tax legislative changes and industry standards. About You: Essential criteria: * Educated to university degree, or vocational equivalent. * The ideal candidate should be a corporate tax specialist with relevant post-qualified tax experience (ACA and/or CTA). * Knowledge and experience of the UK corporation tax regime is essential, whilst experience of international taxation, indirect taxes (VAT) and employment taxes would be desirable. * Strong project management and tax technical skills will be required, combined with a proactive approach and a willingness to learn. * The role will require the candidate to work independently and as part of a team across a range of disciplines.
