Job Opportunity:

Senior Tax Advisor - Private Client

Glasgow

Overview:

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a leading Private Client team with a long-standing reputation in tax, succession, estates and wealth advisory work. You will advise a varied and high‑value client base, including landed estates, rural businesses, trusts, executries and high‑net‑worth families. This role offers the chance to work in a modern and forward‑thinking environment with scope for progression and access to an experienced team of specialists.

Role Requirements:

- Advising on tax planning across personal, succession, trust and executry matters

- Providing guidance on IHT reliefs including APR and BPR

- Advising on CGT and Income Tax issues

- Supporting on VAT matters where required (training available)

- Advising on LBTT and SDLT (training can be provided)

- Advising on tax aspects of land transactions and heritable property

- Working collaboratively on complex work, while also managing your own advisory caseload

- Contributing to business development and internal training initiatives

Experience:

- ATT or CTA qualified, or qualified by experience (Solicitors with tax experience also considered)

- At least 5 years' practical tax advisory experience

- Experience working with trusts, estates, rural business structures and HNW clients

- Familiarity with tax compliance procedures

- Experience delivering succession planning advice

Skills:

- Clear, personable and client‑focused communicator

- High attention to detail with confidence handling technical matters

- Ability to manage deadlines and varied workloads

- Collaborative approach with willingness to contribute to team development

- Proactive mindset with interest in cross‑service referrals and wider firm initiatives
