We are supporting a key client who requires an experienced Tax Manager to join there ever-growing business, working closely with the Directors and leading the day-to-day management of our tax department. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional looking to take ownership of a varied and technical role within a well-established and supportive practice.

Based in the local office, you will be part of a friendly team, managing a broad portfolio of tax compliance and advisory work.

\n\n

The Role

\n\n

Reporting directly to the Directors, you will be responsible for managing the tax function, overseeing compliance, and acting as a key point of contact for clients and tax authorities.

\n\n

Your duties will include:

\n\n

Preparation and submission of Self-Assessment Tax Returns

\n\n

Monitoring and reviewing tax payments due, including Payments on Account, and issuing reminders

\n\n

Providing tax planning advice, including pensions and Business Asset Disposal Relief

\n\n

General tax compliance work

\n\n

Completion and submission of P11D forms

\n\n

Completion of A1, W-8BEN-E, and other foreign tax forms

\n\n

Handling Tax Enquiries and Investigations with HMRC

\n\n

Liaising directly with HMRC on behalf of clients

\n\n

Ensuring all statutory deadlines are met

\n\n

Requirements

\n\n

Previous experience working within a UK Accountancy Practice – minimum of 5 years due to seniority of the role

\n\n

Up-to-date knowledge of UK tax legislation

\n\n

Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy

\n\n

Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines

\n\n
