My client is an established chartered accountants, offering a comprehensive range of business advice and accountancy and taxation services to individuals and businesses throughout the South East.
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Tax Partner to join our leadership team. As a senior member of the firm, the Tax Partner will oversee all aspects of tax advisory, compliance, and planning services for a diverse client portfolio. This role requires deep technical expertise in taxation, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record in business development. The Tax Partner will also contribute to the overall strategic direction and growth of the firm.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted tax advisor to high-net-worth individuals, sole traders, Partnerships, LLP’s, start-ups, Trusts and Limited companies.
- Provide expert advice on tax planning, structuring, and compliance.
- Oversee complex tax engagements and ensure client satisfaction.
- Assist with ad hoc VAT queries.
- Support the other Partners with specialised tax queries from their portfolio of clients.
- Oversee a portfolio of your own clients.
Leadership & Team Development
- Work as part of a small team of tax professionals.
- Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Drive staff training and development on current tax law changes and best practices.
Technical Excellence
- Stay current with evolving tax legislation and its implications.
- Review and sign off on tax returns, reports, and correspondence.
- Ensure quality control and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Business Development
- Generate new business opportunities and expand client relationships.
- Represent the firm in networking events, conferences, and client meetings.
- Collaborate with other Partners to provide integrated client solutions.
Strategic Contribution
- Contribute to the firm’s strategic planning and vision as a member of the leadership team.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvement and service expansion.
- Participate in firm governance and partner meetings.
Qualifications/Experience:
- ACA/ACCA and CTA qualifications required.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive tax experience.
- Strong expertise in all aspects of taxation; CGT, IT, CT, VAT, capital allowances etc.
- Experience in a public accounting firm or a similar professional services environment.
- Proven ability to attract and retain clients and grow a book of business.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Team player.
Salary: up to £100k (depending on experience)
