The purpose of this role is to:
Deliver a broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated Computer Science curriculum
Support the progress and development of students as a teacher and form tutor
Facilitate engaging learning experiences that allow students to achieve their full potential
Contribute to raising standards of attainment

Planning and Curriculum Development
Planning engaging lessons and learning activities
Developing teaching resources and contributing to departmental planning
Supporting curriculum design and subject developmentTeaching and Learning
Delivering high-quality lessons that motivate and challenge students
Creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
Using assessment to support student progress and attainmentStudent Support and Pastoral Care
Acting as a form tutor to a group of students
Supporting students’ personal and academic development
Promoting high expectations and positive behaviourQuality Assurance and Professional Development
Contributing to subject monitoring and evaluation processes
Engaging fully with performance management and professional development
Maintaining accurate student progress recordsCommunication and Collaboration
Working collaboratively with colleagues across the school
Communicating effectively with parents, carers, and external agencies when requiredWhat We Are Looking For
The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and a relevant degree
Have successful secondary teaching experience (including teaching practice)
Have a strong understanding of effective teaching and learning strategies
Demonstrate high expectations for all students
Have knowledge of the National Curriculum at KS3 and KS4
Be able to plan lessons, develop resources, and assess student progress effectively
Be a strong team player who builds positive relationships with colleagues
Have good ICT skills, ideally including interactive technologies in the classroom
Be able to create a motivating and safe learning environment
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and stakeholders
Demonstrate strong organisation and time-management skills
