About the Role
Our client, a forward-thinking secondary school in Hillingdon, is seeking a dedicated Teacher of English to join their English department. This is an excellent opportunity to inspire students, develop their literacy skills, and foster a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking.

The successful candidate will:

Teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to contribute to Key Stage 5 depending on experience.

Deliver engaging lessons that enhance students’ reading, writing, and analytical skills.

Support students’ personal development and academic achievement.

Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a creative, inclusive, and high-achieving English curriculum.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

Strong subject knowledge in English, including literature, language, and writing skills.

Experience teaching secondary school students is preferred.

Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.

Passion for developing students’ literacy and love of literature.
