This programme is designed for individuals who want to build hands‑on experience in a secondary school setting while receiving ongoing support and guidance from experienced educators.

What the Programme Includes

A long‑term placement in a supportive secondary school
Gradual introduction to classroom responsibilities
Opportunities to lead small groups, support lessons and deliver pre‑planned cover
Continued training, coaching and development throughout your placement
A clear pathway into QTS‑based teacher training for successful candidates

Your Day‑to‑Day Role

Working as a Cover Supervisor, leading classes with pre-set work
Supporting pupils across key subjects
Helping with behaviour management and creating a positive learning environment
Assisting teaching staff with lesson preparation and classroom tasks
Gaining exposure to different age groups and departments

Ideal Candidates

Graduates from any discipline (or final‑year students)
Confident communicators with strong interpersonal skills
Individuals who are passionate about working in education
People with leadership experience, youth work, coaching or mentoring backgrounds

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
